Since the unfortunate invasion of the Chinese Red Army on the land of Tibet, the Chinese authorities have continuously caused devastation on its people and the environment. The current situation in Tibet is worsening day by day, especially in some areas where struggle session has been implemented which is resulting in tremendous torture and suffering to the Tibetans inside Tibet.
On 12th August, when local people of Denma Village in Kardze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture heard that their respected local leader Wangdak had been detained from his home in the middle of the night, they gathered to protest his detention and call for his release. Paramilitary police were deployed who used teargas and opened fire to disperse the crowd causing serious injury of about seventeen unarmed Tibetan protestors. Two protesters had previously died at the detention center on Sunday, Lo Palsang committing suicide in protest against unfair persecution of Chinese authorities and a 22 year old dying of untreated gun wounds. Sources are confirming the death of three detainees namely; Tsewang Gonpo, Wangdak's (village head) uncle 60, brother Yeshi, 42 and bridegroom Jinpa Tharchin; 18. The date of their death is unknown but their bodies have been returned their families on 18 August, 2014.
The gunshot wounds of several detainees, including the son of Wangdak, have been left unattended till date after the shooting, raising concerns about their medical condition while under custody. The Loshung Detention centre has been jam-packed with protestors and several of the detainees has been transferred to the local hospital. Shupa Village has about 700 people, but at the moment the village has the only presence old, women and the children.
Names of 25 Tibetans detained since 12 August including vice head of Shupa village Wangchen has reached us through sources. They are as follows; Lophel Sang (who committed suicide), Pema Gyalpo, Yonten Kyab, Taga, Kunga Tenzin, Dawa Tashi, Karma Tashi, Tashi Gonpo, Kunga Sherab, Yeshi, Jamyang Sonam, Tashi, Tsering, Galuk, Thupten Cheophel, Lakyab, Bhumo, Tsogyal, Bugyal, Yangchen Lhamo(female), Tsekyab Wangmo(female),Yeshi Dolma(female), Yangchen Phamo(female), Karma Rinchen. Names of other innocent detainees are not confirmed due to blackout on communication since the incident has taken place.

We request the United Nation, especially UN Human Right Council and the truth and peace-loving citizens of the world to urgently cooperate in pressurizing the Chinese Communist Government to stop every form of discrimination against Tibetans and other ethnic minority; immediately cease the crackdown in Denma Village of Sershul County; demand an unconditional release of the nonviolent protestors including their leader Wangdak and to ensure the injured victims an instant medical treatment.
